I was heading towards the sun
Heading down Rt 41
When something jumped and I did swerve
What happed next is all a blur
From the wreckage I did rise
Yes it was a big surprise
My heart it filled with fear and dread
Oh My god I think I’m dead
Up through the clouds and through the sky
Out beyond all space and time
I traveled for 10 years or more
And landed on a distant shore
A woman rose up from the fire
She said welcome what is your desire
With hair of black and lips of red
There ain’t nothing wrong with being dead
I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead
I’m a dead man
All the pain and all the strife
All the suffering in my life
I’d never do it all again
There ain’t nothing wrong with being dead
Whilst gently paddling along this glistening river with the sun warming my back I found contentment. At a peaceful spot I set up camp and breathed in the beauty........."I think I'll stay a while" I said to myself.
Thank you for this peaceful spot Mr Henderson :0) Martin Shields
